The Gift Set 7 had a 438 Land Rover in pale green with black jungle camouflage stripes. There were also a doctor character with stethoscope and a chimpanzee on his knee and the female character astride a lion wearing glasses. Finally, the Land Rover has a tiger lying across the bonnet.
This set has the first version of the Land Rover with shaped wheels. It is in excellent condition except that is is completely missing its windows. This was a factory error and the model has never been played with, coming from a number of items acquired from the grandson of Percy Wilford, a senior product designer at Corgi in the 1960s. The base is like new with good, shiny wheels and nice tyres. All the characters are present and original except for the stethoscope.
I am looking for the missing item but in the meantime the set is available as it stands. A replacement part can also be provided instead. Contact me if this is required.
I also have fairly good examples of the later Land Rovers, one with cast wheels and another with Whizzwheels and these are included in the sale so you will have the complete range for this set. The other Land Rovers have some playwear as the photos show but I am not charging much extra for them.
