The Bloodhound missile is complete and in good condition, with all the RAF roundels in place and just small marks to the body and fins from playwear. It has a replacement nose-cone.
The Launching Platform is missing the base piece but still functions as it should. The cotter pin is original but has been straightened after becoming bent at some time. The platform can be raised and lowered and remains in position. The paintwork is excellent with no chips noticeable.
The Loading Trolley also has excellent paintwork with good original wheels and tyres and clean tow bar. The lifting mechanism works but usually needs some assistance when raising with the missile in place. The gearing all looks good but may slip, I guess. It has some marks where pieces of old nose-cone rubber were stuck and have been removed but the trolley runs very smoothly and looks fine.
The RAF Land Rover has seen plenty of play over the years and needs a roundel at the font which I will supply. The tin canopy is an original that has been painted but not the right colour. The front bumper has been bent at one end and the rear panel is a little out of shape too. I propose to replace this with a better Land Rover when I find a good one with a canopy. In the meantime the set is priced with the Land Rover effectively free as it stands at the moment.
This still makes a super display, however, and these items are not easy to find in such attractive condition these days.
