The price for a set in an original box is quite extraordinary, regularly achieving around £1500 as and when they appear, even with less than mint models inside! This is much less expensive because the models are worn and the box is a reproduction - but on display it is still quite presentable as you can see.
The Mini is hard to find these days but this one still has its correct original transfers. Many have a much too white transfer for the racing number or maybe in quite the wrong font too and stands out a mile. This is worn and the decals are too and obviously this has been played with but . . it is all original.
The Rover has replacement RN decals and has a small crack in the rear window where the Trans-o-lite headlights join. The metallic crimson paint is worn with playwear and the white roof shows a few chips. It is otherwise all totally original, however, with no retouches or a repainted roof like many have.
The Citroen is almost impossible to track down now with an original and undamaged aerial unless you are prepared to pay very high sums indeed. This one, however, does have the original aerial but the paintwork is worn and varnish has been applied in places.
If you have a space where this set should be displayed then this is a very good opportunity to get one that does have original Corgis, at a very reasonable price.
The box is a fairly good reproduction, maybe with slightly thicker card for the outer but it does display the models well and is clean and, from a distance, just like the real thing. the inner tray is particularly good.
