This is an interesting edition of the International 6x6 Truck as a Troop Transporter. Originally 1118 but revised for general issue with US Military markings as 1133. This model retains the 1118 plain canopy with no indent on the roof. The star transfer just being applied in the centre. This is as it was issued and sold in the States where it has been in one collection until I acquired it recently. I had previously thought all 1133 models had a canopy with an indent but clearly early editions for export, maybe replacing orders for the US Export 1118, were sent with the plain canopy.
The model is in excellent condition with no signs of playwear and you can see that the canopy has seldom been removed, perhaps, indeed, only for the first time in these photos. I did that to show the spare tyre lodged behind the cab.
The khaki finish remains matt and has not had any handling which often results in a darker, shinier finish developing from the oil on people's fingers.
It's a lovely model and the box is good too. It is complete, with just a little wear evident at the edges.
