The Corgi Classics from 1964/6 were very pretty and beautifully detailed but simply did not appeal to many collectors at that time. They couldn't be whizzed around the carpet or parked easily in your Bayko garage and were very easily damaged too.

This one was especially vulnerable with its tall and very thin screen. Here is a slightly damaged example in a distinctly different pale yellow and with a bare metal radiator without passengers. The screen is missing along with the bar holding the sidelamps but these are not difficult to replace and it looks otherwise like new and there are only very minimal (if any) chips to the paintwork and the interior is fresh and clean.

This has come from a box of items from the drawer of Percy Wilford, a senior product designer at Corgi which I have only recently been sorting out. This box had included many items that were definitely just samples and I believe this is one too but as I cannot prove it I do not ask a high price but it may be of interest to someone. The photos include a comparison with the issued shade.
