Very shortly after issuing this model in 1965 Corgi decided to add musical chimes and a great big handle at the back and call it #474. So this one didn't get as much attention and sales were divided with this one being withdrawn in 1966.
In my opinion this is the best model and it came with a nice display tray in the box, together with a sheet of decorations and an instruction sheet telling you where to put them. Some children got them in the right place. Many didn't. This one seems to have had a bright, neat child who also took care of his or her toys!
The paintwork is really very good, as it the chrome back and front, with nice shiny wheels and good suspension. The windows are clear and clean all round and the rear section is clean and complete.
Many of these models have suffered from misting of the cab windows which can very much spoil their appearance but this one is not affected and looks lovely.
I am getting a reproduction box and the two characters for this and will update the illustrations when these arrive. The price, therefore, includes these further items which will make a very attractive display of the otherwise all original model.
