For a short period in 1962 the Chipperfields Circus Gift Sets (the general set and the set with an Elephant Cage & Trailer) had a red Land Rover with a blue tin canopy. This was replaced shortly afterwards by a plastic one and these tin canopies are now quite hard to find, especially in good, correctly angled condition.
This is a decent Land Rover with all original paintwork, some signs of wear but it is all intact with a hook at the back. The screens are all good, clean and clear. The wheels and tyres are excellent and the base shows little sign of being played with.
The canopy is one of the best I have seen, with perfect right angles and only the slightest marks to its original paint. The stickers are replacements but have accurate typeface not the very poor ones offered for sale by some people where totally incorrect styles and colours have been used!
In due course I may sell this as part of a Gift set 19 but in the meantime it is available individually.
