The Mercedes 350SL was introduced to the range quite late in 1972 and initially there were three colours available - this white, a metallic blue and a scarce metallic green which was mainly for export to the USA.
It is an attractive model and features, in this instance, the first type of more realistic wheels, this one having the early open spoke variety.
This is virtually mint with no signs of wear, crystal clear screens and a nice clean interior. The bonnet and doors open smoothly and close in line nicely, unlike many!
White seems to be less common than blue and only found in the earlier issues.
