This item was most commonly sold in Gift Sets, notably in Gift Set 3 with a #351 RAF Land Rover. It was also, however, available individually as #350 in its own box.
Here is a super bare metal example, on a navy blue trolley. I think it may have been removed for the first time from its trolley for these pictures - the condition is really excellent in all respects (except the nose cone, of course). The material for the nose cone has degraded in every example I have encountered.
I shall fit a plastic reproduction cone to this. In the photos I have fitted a metal part which I discovered on another item I had in my collection. This is a very nicely engineered fitting and I would be interested to find out where to obtain more. I will, though, need to keep this one for now and please note that it will be the usual plastic replacement that is included in this sale.
The box has signs of age but is still complete and firm, with the important original packing card inside to protect the box outer from the fins, sharp nose and metal rear end. That piece is often missing. There is some creasing and small tears to the surface but it is still nice and much less common than the older style blue box that was used for most of these.
