One of the classic Corgis from this era, the 218 model gets a two-tone finish and racing decals and an extended life for the casting.
There are several variations of this model, the main difference being in the treatment of the bonnet vent, starting with a very obviously open vent, a less pronounced feature and a simple risen element with no opening. The model always has a lemon interior and the shades of the cream and pale green-turquoise appear to be pretty consistent over the years. The racing number may be 1, 3 or 7, RN1 being the most sought after these days.
This example is all original and in very good condition. there are signs of playwear but only four or five small chips are obvious on the bonnet, roof edge and boot. It has excellent suspension and clean, bright wheels with clean and undamaged windows.
You will see that it has grey tyres. I also have a Bentley Continental from this collector and it is clear that he has swapped the tyres many years ago! They do quite suit this model so I have left them on but if you would like four black Corgi tyres then I can supply these at no extra charge.
