This is an example of the silver James Bond Aston Martin, a rare 1976 edition with a gold grille and bumpers and oval section on the base near the rear bumper. It also has slightly different shape cut-outs for the levers.

It is in very good condition with original paintwork showing a few chips that have been touched in so it does look very nice on display. All the features operate as they should. The roof lies slightly raised as seems to be the case with so many of these models - although it does stay flat sometimes, just not for these photos!

The windows are clear with a very feint mark on the rear window, possibly a crack but maybe a scratch. The rotating number plates have the original plates still fitted. The red plastic tyre slashers look crisp and clean and are the later, thinner plastic type, a little more awkward to pull out smoothly, but both are complete. One tyre is cracked and will be replaced with a correct later style.
The front grille is original but one corner of the bumper has been replaced. There is decent suspension all round.

All in all this is a good example of quite a scarce edition, and does look good on display. Highly recommended if you need this for your collection.
Note:
A very nice copy of this model was supplied to Laurent Lesage at 36 Rue de Verneuil in Paris in December but he has never completed payment for it. Although tracking shows that it was delivered he has neither returned it nor offered to pay for it. So if you know this man please ask him to return it so that it can be relisted and sold to someone who will be more honest.

These Bond Aston Martins are complicated. Be careful to check what you're buying. Many are now being restored too. There are five main types that can be fairly easily identified:

Type 1: Early 1968 - mid 1969
Tyre slashers, silver bumpers, base has a circular section at the rear, grey base.
Type 2: mid 1969 - end 1975
as before but with gold grille / bumpers.
Type 3: 1976
as Type 2 but with an oval shape on the base
Type 4: early 1977 only
Whizzwheels, grey base
Type 5: early 1977 - early 1978
Whizzwheels, silver base.
