This was a very popular product and there are many still in people's collections. There were, however, many versions and this is the one that is much sought after being the first - without a tow bar.
Technically, the very first was finished in matt black whereas this is the gloss black version. Once the tow hook gets added there are all kinds of changes over ensuing years to the wheels, tyres and headlamp and small variations in body style. Later, too, the underside gets a revised text to acknowledge the image creators rather belatedly!
So this is the one to get and it is in really nice condition with both Robin and Batman in place, no damage to the windscreen and with working components. The doors have nice clean red logos as do the wheels and the tyres are excellent and not cracked. The car sits evenly but I don't think there's much by way of suspension left.
It even has an original aerial and this is wholly original and has not been touched up as many now have been. There are two original missiles too! Much rarer than the car, of course, is an original box and this is also included - hence the quite high price but it is simply the case that these boxes are very hard to find in such good clean condition and with all the flaps intact. The inner tray and additional items are excellent reproductions but the outer box is definitely original.
