This is a very rare item and only the fifth I have seen. This example has quite a lot of chips to the paintwork and has had some black added in the past which has mostly been removed but some small spots persist here and there. These may seem obvious in photos but really are not at all evident in normal viewing. The windows are complete with a small crack at the rear where the Trans-o-lite piece fits and a mark on the front screen. The steering wheel is loose. The suspension is good and the lights work fine.
This will have been produced almost at the end of its period of availability, most likely for inclusion in the Gift Sets 48/41 where the other models on the Transporter may also have had the same style of wheels. I have the Hillman Imp, the Volvo P1800 Saint's car, Minis and Ford Cortina Estate from this set, for example, with cast wheels, the Cortina in blue, Imp and Volvo being similarly very rare items. If you're trying to rebuild that particular late edition of the Transporter Gift Set then this will be a valuable element that's hard to find.
When models like this come along it can be very difficult to price them in the absence of any others to compare them with. A good condition example sold recently for over £900, or £1000+.
