This is a Corgi re-issue but not from the Corgi Model Club, although it is no doubt based on the re-issue of the 258 model by the Club, for which Corgi will have supported with funding.
First available in April 2023 this is one of a small number of what were referred to as 'heritage' models in Corgi's online store. Not widely promoted, however, and just one batch was produced and they have not been available from the store for a long time.
In a pinkish-orange shade of red and shaped wheels, it is similar to the original Corgi issue of 1962. The Club re-issue of 2021 was The Saint's Car with a driver and bonnet logo so this is quite unique.
The box is a nice reproduction in similar style to the Club issues with various text differences and the data panel on one side. This will distinguish the model from any subsequent 228 issue that may be forthcoming.
Although a recent issue, this is likely to be a sought-after model in future due to its limited production and availability.
