A very good example of this model, available for only a short time in 1959, the last of the M models with a friction motor.

This has always been one of my favourites as my dad had a red Countryman version of the Austin A40 with a fully opening rear. I had to buy a two-tone blue 216 and paint it red because the 216M had been discontinued when I started collecting.

This is the second best of many examples that I have available and has a working motor, very clean windows and really nice paintwork. There are one or two very minor marks but barely noticeable and the bumpers and grille silver paint is wonderful.

The wheels and tyres are good and the base is like new.

There is some super-detailing that a previous owner has added, but this has been done very well indeed. I am also unsure whether the roof has been repainted as it appears very fresh. The rear window has a mark, a little like glue perhaps, that I have had some success in removing but it remains visible at some angles.
