One of the very early American Corgis and a very popular model, standing out pretty well from the Austin A40 and Standard Vanguard!
The Thunderbird can be found in several versions: two hard tops, one having suspension and seats and this one, two open cars, again one without and one with suspension and a strange Bermuda Taxi version which is an open top with a plastic canopy.
All of the early hard tops like this one were the classic shade of pale green and cream and the first editions had 1959 in risen text at the rear. Later, quite scarce second editions had a blank plate.
This is in exceptional condition, looking as new. Few have survived over 55 years that well.
It now has a really nice original box. This has all the end flaps in place and no tears. An exceptional nice model and box.
