Some models that I get are just too worn or broken to be retained as originals but rather than discard them I try to bring them back to life with various spare parts and a fresh coat of paint.

I am not trying to restore any model, merely make it something someone might like to display again.

I have seen one or two examples of the Studebaker in white but without a friction motor. It would be logical for some to have been produced, either by design or accident, like the red Riley 205M or the red and black Austin A40 216 or grey Austin Cambridge 201. Most usually seem to have been 'created', though, and sold as genuine at high prices so i thought i would see how easy it might be to build one myself. The gold strip on the wing is tricky but the rest pretty easy so here you are - but a lot cheaper!
