There are more editions of this old Standard Vanguard than your might realise. 207 starts in 1957 with the red paint area stretching down the pillars and with a black base. At some point it then gets a grey base but still retains the rear axle bulge despite having no motor. Then , near the end of its production run, a few models are issued in 1961 with the red area restricted the just the horizontal roof itself and these appear invariably to have the fixed shaped wheels instead of the smooth wheels.
These are not that common and missing from many collections. The model ceased production in 1962 so there was not a long period when they would have been available. This example has signs of being played with but it is entirely original and the windows are clean and clear.
