Produced from May 1959 through to 1964 this is a most impressive model. Really heavy, you do feel you’re getting value for your money and that it is well up to whatever army tasks you might want to throw at it!
This one is a marvellous original 1118 with UK insignia and has the solid base. Some models have an open element below the rear section.
This is in very good condition and I doubt it has been played with as it has not become shiny, retaining the matt finish. There is some age-related discolouring in the paintwork but it almost looks like a camouflage effect so is not detrimental on display. It has the often missing or broken hook, the screens are all clear, no marks on the bumper and the canopy is straight and clean without rust. There is even the original spare wheel and tyre present. The Allied insignia is present front and rear.
The original box is solid and firm and has one repair inside. Outside there are some signs of wear and a small scuff but it generally clean and presentable with no graffiti.
