This is a rare edition of the 1118 International Truck with Dutch insignia on the front and back. It also has a silver-painted grille which is unusual but totally original.
This is in very good condition and I doubt it has been played with as it has not become shiny, retaining the matt finish. There is some age-related discolouring in the paintwork but this is minor and is not detrimental on display. It has the often missing or broken hook, the screens are all clear, no marks on the bumper and the canopy is straight and clean without rust. There is even the original spare wheel and tyre present.
The original box is solid and firm and with no repairs. Outside there are some signs of wear but it is very clean and has no graffiti. On one side the text says it has British military markings, whilst on the other side it says it has US markings! To the best of my knowledge the same box was utilised for all export issues, however, as evidenced by the various languages on th end panel of the lid.
These export editions are particularly rare and much sought-after, hence the price. This example comes from my own collection and I can vouch for it being totally genuine.
