This is a very scarce model. It is the Series 2 type Land Rover but with the Type 1 open jib that was used on the 417 non-suspension model. almost all the 417S models that you will find will have the closed type of jib which carried on through to the 477 models with a plastic canopy.
This will have had a very short production time in this form. This is a good example with good paintwork showing just a few chips here and there. The canopy is original with the original transfers. The jib is good and has original cord with a hook. The screens are clear and unscratched and the suspension is good.
The cab rear window has the 'frame' variety only found in the early editions from 1963.
I have recently updated this listing as the model now has an original canopy with original lamp - in earlier photos the canopy was not as good and lacked the lamp, hence the small price increase.
