This is a totally original early issue of the Avengers Gift Set. It features the green Bentley with red wheels, a white Lotus Elan S2, original Steed and Mrs Peel characters and even two original umbrellas. All these items are in an original box and tray too.
The Bentley is almost mint, with just one small chip on a mudguard at the rear. The Lotus has just minor signs of wear and has reasonably good suspension too and no marks to the screen.
The outer box is complete with all flaps in place. There are signs of age and it has become a little soft but still retains its shape. There is a 15/6 price written in pencil but no graffiti. The tray has signs of wear where models and Mrs Peel have been placed and moved over time but it is still intact and, of course, looks fine with the cars in place.
To have some original brollies is extraordinary and most rare. It is not easy to distinguish these at a distance but replacements are either metal or, where they are plastic, they lack the detail of the originals, mainly in the furling and at the foot or tip where you will also see remnants of where they have been attached to a sprue. I will actually be happy to keep these myself so can offer a £80 reduction should you be content to have good replacement brollies instead.
