Some models are simply too worn or damaged to be able to be restored as genuine items, often needing windows, paintwork or suspension repair that requires the base to be removed. Rather than discard them, I make an effort to turn them into something attractive, usually with a quite different colour or features to the official release in order to avoid anyone thinking that I am trying to sell something as 'original'.
AlI I want to do is to preserve models as best I can and maybe someone out there will like some of them and give them a new home. Often the parts are actually quite valuable too for another project - or you are welcome to improve on my efforts too!
Here I have attempted to recreate the original but the noticeable differences in the front end and the normal instead of cast wheels should be enough to make it clear that I am not trying to pass this off as the rare model. It does, however, look very good on display.
There are two available and I cannot really see much difference. The price is for one model of your choice.
