This is a scarce item, hard to find now in good condition and certainly not in an original box. Only 26000 of these were sold, a figure comparable to the later 1135 Military Machinery Carrier to give you an idea of how few that is.
There were two versions, the later type having a revised nose which included a metal tip and you can insert an exploding cap so that if the missile were to be dropped on its nose there would be a bang. I don't expect it is possible to buy those caps any longer. They used to come in long strips in a small white round card box.
This is the later version. It is all original and has not had any paint touch-ins and doesn't appear to have been played with as the launcher device is unmarked apart from signs of wear at the pint where the missile is placed and similar wear at the bottom of the missile itself. Otherwise the transfers are complete and the missile has only very minor marks. The nose-cone has been replaced but the metal tip is original.
The launcher pins will hold the missile vertically in place and the four adjustable legs work as they should with a smooth action. The two wheels are bright and shiny and I suspect they may have only been detached for the first time today! The original tyres are like new and not cracked or broken which is good because they're non-standard in size and design and not something I would know where to find if replacement were needed!
The box is all original but has had almost invisible repairs to the lid. The illustrations are all very good and it does not have any writing on it. Inside there is the original lower packing piece in a firm and clean card box including the original card ring for the nose.
An opportunity to obtain this attractive and rare item.
