A fine example of this model in excellent condition with a very good original box, which now includes an inner tray.
The items are entirely original. The matt finish has been preserved as this model clearly has not been handled much at all - which can lead to a darker and smoother texture to the paint developing. This one remains very fresh and clean. All the decals are in place and it looks wonderful. The mirrors have survived too, often a vulnerable feature on this model.
Very few of these were produced, the records indicating only a few more than the Series II RAF Land Rover, for example, and most of these were sold in the States, few being suppled to stores in Britain.
The box is firm and fresh-looking, with only very minor signs of wear. All the flaps are in place.
This is an opportunity to obtain this sought-after model, with an original box, that really does not come along often. The inner tray has the text 'Carrimore Detachable Axle Machinery Carrier' which is from a #1131 model, most #1135 models having 'Heavy Duty Machinery Carrier'. However, as both were being produced at the same time it is possible that different trays were used. Whilst it is an original tray I cannot vouch for it being as issued with this particular model and have adjusted the price accordingly. These usually sell for over £500 in this condition.
