This is the second edition of the Milk Tanker, the first one, 1129 having the Bedford S Type cab. This has the Bedford TK cab and was only produced from December 1965 to sometime in 1966, a very short run and the records show just 20000 made. This is less than half of the yellow Ghia Fiat Jolly and similar in numbers to the 500 US Army Land Rover and 1135 Military Machinery Carrier. Examples that are all original and in good condition are hard to find.
This example is all original and has pretty good, clean paintwork. There are signs of playwear but the decals on the tanker sides and rear end have survived pretty well. The cab has good suspension and the shaped wheels all round are very good with good tyres in the correct size. There is a very feint crack in the front screen which is only visible from certain angles.
The base of the tanker unit is very clean.
The cab mirrors are in place, one being slightly out of position. The shiny paper elements are missing but I plan to replace those and will supply new photos when complete. In the meantime this is sold as it stands.
Overall, this is a really good and totally original example of a hard-to-find model.
