To buy this set in an original box would cost over £1500 these days so this is a much more affordable option - Corgi cars in a nice reproduction box.
The Mini Cooper is original, with just a bit of wear to the paintwork. It has excellent windows, wheels and suspension. The decals on the doors are replacements and there are a few touch-ins.
The Rover 2000 is excellent with clean paintwork all round and looks all original. The windows are excellent, including the rear window which often has a crack where the Trans-o-lite system joins. The decals are all original, apart from a replacement on one door. The wheels and suspension are all excellent too.
The Citroen DS23 is the Corgi Model Club re-issue. This is virtually identical to the original model and is not likely to be noticed - even on display! It does, of course, have an intact aerial, unlike most of the 1965 models you'll find for sale. However, in the event that you do find one, I shall include the original box, packing pieces and certificate issued by Corgi Model Club so that you would eb able to sell it quite easily later if required.
The box is pretty good and one of the better ones available. There aren't many, probably because those who would like to make the box can't get hold of a decent original to copy! The card is a little thick and the blue perhaps a bit too dark but the inner display tray is very nice and accurately produced.
All in all this is a very good set to display and reasonably priced.
