One of the best Corgi models for me - the colour may not be something you’d see on a real one but, boy, does it look good on this 1960s model!
This is in excellent condition. The screens are clean and clear and the flags transfer is original and intact. there is a RN7 transfer on one door but it is missing on the other. The paintwork is very good with just tiny marks on the front and rear bumpers and a small chip to the roof.
The wheels and tyres are excellent and original and the suspension, as always with these, excellent. I have replaced one tyre with an original Corgi item and notice that another tyre has a flat spot. However, this is hardly noticeable so I have left it for now and the base is very clean.
This is the later 1964, quite late production edition with the closed vent on the bonnet and a revised bonnet mechanism. Earlier editions had an open vent.
This now comes with a very fresh-looking and nicely coloured original box. It is very good apart from missing the flaps at one end. Original boxes are scarce now and so this is still quite a valuable item and looks excellent on display at almost all angles. Indeed, it is an easy repair should the missing flaps become available one day.
