This is a very scarce model. It is the Series 2 type Land Rover but with the Type 1 open jib that was used on the 417 non-suspension model. almost all the 417S models that you will find will have the closed type of jib which carried on through to the 477 models with a plastic canopy.
This will have had a very short production time in this form. This is a good example with good paintwork showing just a few chips here and there. The canopy is missing the lamp but is original with the original transfers. However, I am obtaining a replacement tin canopy with a light which I shall fit when it arrives. In the meantime this for sale as it stands and I will revise the listing and price later if unsold. The jib is good and has original cord with a hook. The screens are clear and unscratched and the suspension is good.
The cab rear window has the 'frame' variety only found in the early editions from 1963.
