A very nice example of this detailed model in metallic blue with good chrome all around.
This is the rarer version with the thicker stripes on the roof blind. Everything opens nicely and the paintwork is excellent - just very tiny marks which are difficult to see and some residual marks from a sticker on the bonnet. The chrome strip at the cills has some wear each side but the model is wholly original.
The suspension is sound and it has the correct style of tyres which look original, one having a 'flat spot'. The interior is fresh and clean, as are the windows which are all free from scratches or damage.
These are quite desirable now, being the last of the Minis before Whizzwheels and this 'wide band' version is quite hard to find, being much less common. The photos include an example of the 'narrow band' version for comparison.
The Corgi Model Club have just issued this version in metallic green so this would make an interesting display next to that, unless you happen to be fortunate already to have an original in green (which appears to be even less common that this blue)!
