This was not available for long in 1970 and was soon replaced by a Whizzwheels edition with a new catalogue number 280.
This edition is really quite smart, featuring opening doors, bonnet, boot (with correct spare wheel) and Golden Jacks removable wheels.
At the front there are twin jewelled headlamps and the nice chrome includes the radiator emblem which is intact. Look out for this on other models as it is often missing now. The rear bumper is also nicely chromed. The paintwork is excellent, pretty much immaculate. All I can spot are very tiny chips on a roof edge.
The suspension was never great on these Golden Jack models and this hasn't got much but it sits evenly and is a superb example of quite a scarce model. The screens are also clear and undamaged as is the wonderful paintwork, this example having a distinct metallic cream-silver over a blue-grey. There is also a very rare edition in silver over metallic blue, the scheme later used for the first Whizzwheels version.
This is totally original and complete, including a correct spare wheel in the boot, and would add class to any collection.
