These Mechanical models are quite scarce now, especially with a working friction motor. The Vauxhall Velox was nearly always red and was available between 1956 and 1959 when it was discontinued. A few got orange paint and these are very scarce.
This example has a few chips on the paintwork but it is one of the better examples I have had. The paint is fresh and mostly clean although someone has tried to clean the roof and left some solvent stains. The wheels are nice and shiny and tyres are all good. The windows, often messy on these models as they're not easy to clean, are fine, nice and clear and without scratches. This has the tinted type.
A very nice model. The base is black with the early text setting. The motor works nice and smoothly and this example is also one with the silver detailing missing on the bonnet. From what I can tell all the orange models have this missing.
As photos do not always make distinguishing the orange shade from the normal red for this model I include a picture of this model next to a red 203M.
