This set features a combination that will have been available for a very limited period in 1963. It is the first type of deep green Land Rover, evidenced by the early type window unit which creates a sort of 'frame' in the rear window, coupled with a red 102 Pony trailer which has shaped fixed wheels but a wire drawbar. Nearly all of the red Pony Trailers had smooth wheels with the wire drawbar and a few late editions had a fixed drawbar with shaped wheels. This transition edition is very hard to find.
The Land Rover has good paintwork apart from a chip on the rear side panel. It has good windows and suspension, tyres etc.
The Pony Trailer has a few small chips and signs of wear and the pony is missing.
