This is a super example of the Ford Corina Estate car, originally issued in blue with a golfer, boy caddy and golf trolley and issued with catalogue number 440. Shortly afterwards it comes out on its own in a box with the catalogue number 491 and also appears in GS41/48 transporter sets.
The red appears in the individual boxed issues and transporter sets. There is also a third edition with metallic grey which was issued a little later and can be found in boxes and transporter sets but not, to my knowledge, as 440 with the diorama and characters.
This is an early edition with normal shaped wheels which were later replaced by a cast, louvre type. It is in splendid condition with just playwear mainly to the sides and rear door. The roof and bonnet are almost untouched. All the 'wood' trim is present and the rear window is in place too. Often this gets detached. The interior is nice and clean and the windows all good, clear and undamaged.
The suspension is sound too and the chrome, quite vulnerable to damage on this model, is all very good indeed.
A nice example.
