This is a scarce model. It was released in 1969 and also ceased production in the same year when it was replaced by a Whizzwheels version. The normal boxed release was yellow with a black bonnet and tailgate but a few were made in this orange colour (and no black panels) for inclusion in a Gift Set with a Transporter and other models. People trying to re-create those sets seldom manage to do so because this is so difficult to find.
This example is all original and has clean windows and good suspension and nice wire wheels. The chrome is good front and back and the headlamp jewels are in place. It has signs of wear, however, with the worst marks being a large chip on the roof and some on the sides.
The tailgate is missing its window. I shall replace this but, for now, it is available as it stands as I shall have to wait until I find an MGB from which I can extract the pane. The price will then rise.
