This is a fabulous-looking car, available for a short period in 1970-71 before being replaced by a Whizzwheels version. Corgi had a special paint technique and used it to good effect in either red or green for this model. (Later they would add blue and purple to the mix for a Toyota 2000GT.)
This was the last model in the Golden Jacks series and also the last but one Corgi issue without Whizzwheels. It's heavy and feels and looks top quality. The matt black bonnet opens and the headlights pop up with a simple lever underneath, a far better device than that used on the Toronado, incidentally.
It should have two yellow plastic roof panels but they were missing on this one. I made some temporary replacements until I can find some spares but in the meantime it is sold as it stands. The paintwork is very good, with just a chip on the nearside wing and some minor marks elsewhere. The chrome is good front and back and the wheels are clean.
There is a small crack in the screen but only visible at certain angles and really nothing to be too concerned about. The interior is clean and the model remains entirely original.
