These cars are wonderfully photogenic. Originally produced in three main colours - dark blue, light blue and gold - and with the cool trans-o-lite headlights and rear lights and nice spoked wheels, this is an example of a metallic blue model with wire wheels in an unusual shade.
This example is excellent with paintwork that is almost unmarked apart from small chips on one side. The windows are lovely and clean and the Trans-o-lite system operates nicely front and back. The chrome is excellent too - unusual on these models as it can chip off easily.
This comes with a lovely, complete and original box. This has no writing but a crease mark along one side where it may have been crushed in the past. It is, however, clean and bright and has a nice old WH Smith & Son Ltd 5/2d price sticker. I didn't know Smiths sold Corgis!
Interestingly, the shade of this one is more like the turquoise blue of the later editions with cast wheels and the edition that I have with cat wheels is more like the earlier metallic blue shade! I have included comparison photos in this listing.
