An unusual car that would have been a rare sight on British roads but not uncommon in our collections because it was interesting. Both the front and back open and there is also a clear cover over the engine in the rear. A simple feature that I loved at the time.
It came with two suitcases. One, reasonably enough went in the front but I always found it a bit odd to put something on top of what must have been a pretty hot engine!
To open the front you had to push on the spare wheel which also protruded underneath, just like it would done on the real model. Now whether a real model would have had such a garish yellow interior, even in the mid 1960s, I am not so sure. This is a different type of interior to most models at the time -a more solid type of plastic and lots of detailing on the rear shelf.
There are cream and gold editions too.
