There are several varieties of the little Austin Seven mini. As well as being issued in primrose, there are also different types of base. This one has what I term the type 1c base which has no holes or extended post and the lower front section is narrow, not the full width of the upper section. The text is also the first type of layout. Later it moved to be more centrally positioned.
This Type 1c base is usually only found on models with free-spinning wheels but this one has fixed shaped wheels and dates from a limited period in 1962 production.
The base has signs of wear but the main part of the model is good with only a few small marks which are not at all obvious on display. It comes with an excellent box, firm and clean and with just one side marked in biro 'This side up"!
A scarce edition, missing from most collections.
