From my own collection and used in many photo-shoots.
The Ghia came in many colours and shades of those colours but this is the scarcest of them all. Copper cars from Corgi are very few and far between and always seem to command high prices as they are simply so difficult to find. (The Chevrolet Sting Ray in bronze, is another example).
This one has really nice paintwork, good chrome and a nice clean interior and undamaged windows. The rear suspension is excellent but, as is so often the case, the front suspension is pretty poor. (This can be fixed by inserting a piece of rubber in the ‘air filter’ bonnet pop-up device which effectively keeps the body up. It raises the bonnet very slightly but this can be adjusted so it stays in line. I have not done so on this one as it seems not too bad).
This a very scarce model. I have seen only one other as good in many years of searching which I reluctantly sold recently.
This is a very fine example of a scarce model and comes with a good box which is otherwise nice and firm and complete.
