When it got suspension and an interior the Studebaker also got a fabulous gold or silver plate finish - the first from Corgi. Later editions of this popular model, however, had just a gold painted finish in a similar shade to that used for the James Bond Aston Martin.
These are much less common than the shiny gold or silver plated models.
This is a nice example of the late type with just some wear to the paintwork, mainly a chip on the roof and minor wear here and there. The windows are good but there is a small mark on the windscreen.
The wheels are very nice and the suspension sound with a very clean base.
