This is an example of a rare version from the very early Corgi catalogue. The Studebaker Golden Hawk with a Mechanical motor came out in February 1958 but these ceased to be made in 1959 so it is one of the short-lived models and didn’t sell that well either in this form.

This model can be found with either a thin white finish or a thicker creamy-white colour finish. This is the latter and is one of the best I have had with really very few marks other than some wear and a few small chips to the finish. the silver paintwork is very good.

The windows are the blue tinted type, not cracked and very clean apart from scuff marks on the front and rear screens. These are only noticeable from some angles and the model looks great on display.

It has white wall tyre stickers on the wheels. These come from an Accessory Pack that Corgi issued and have been applied nicely so I've left them in place as they're also quite clean and tidy. They do suit this model too.

Lastly the motor is working and operating smoothly which is most unusual these days and a pleasure to find.

These are scarce now and hard to find in original condition.
