corgi-toys-343-pontiac-firebird-1
Corgi Toys 343 Pontiac Firebird

This is a good-looking model, one of the early whizzwheels issues with 'red spot' wheels. The outside looks great, with very few marks to the silver paintwork, good chrome,, jewels and intact screen and detachable roof. The suspension is good and the tyres are like new, although it looks like the previous owner has added some white paint to the text. That can either be removed or the tyres exchanged so this is not a problem.

Inside, however, there is a problem with the rear seat and floor missing and also the passenger seat is lacking a backrest. As the model appears not to have been played with, I have no idea how that has happened and I am hoping to find another original interior that I may be able to fit.

The Chevrolet Camaro had the same interior so a wrecked one of those or of a Pontiac may provide what I need. In the meantime it is for sale as it stands and maybe you will be able to complete the job. You'd then have a first class example of the early issue.
