Usually missing from most collections, this is the rare Simca 1000 in blue. The normal edition is silver-plated and looks lovely if a touch unrealistic. This is very hard to find but the colour suits the car wonderfully well.
The paintwork on this one is superb and the decals are all original and intact. The windows are clean and clear with no cracks or scratches and the suspension is sound with bright wheels and original tyres.
I shall try to find a box for this model as it is in such beautiful condition that it will be suitable for the most conscientious collectors (who tend to want the box too!). In the meantime, however, it is available but, as you can imagine, it isn't cheap, being one of the classic rare Corgis.
